Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of FamiVentura and famiventura.com, operated by FamiVentura (“we”, “us”, or “our”). By using the site you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

What FamiVentura provides

FamiVentura publishes pre-researched family travel guides. Each guide covers activities, food, off-the-beaten-path discoveries, day excursions, neighbourhood recommendations, and multi-day itineraries. Content is organized by children’s age groups so families can quickly find advice relevant to their trip.

A selection of picks in each guide is available free of charge. Full guides, including all recommendations and personalized PDFs, are available for purchase.

Accuracy disclaimer

We research every recommendation at the time of writing using multiple sources. However, travel information changes frequently. Prices, opening hours, availability, and conditions should always be verified directly before your visit. FamiVentura is a planning tool, not a booking platform.

Your account

You create an account by signing in with Google OAuth. You must be at least 13 years old to create an account and at least 18 to make a purchase. By creating an account you confirm that the information provided to us is accurate.

You are responsible for keeping your account secure. Because we use Google OAuth, your account security is closely tied to your Google account security. If you suspect unauthorized access to your FamiVentura account, contact us immediately.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, are used for fraudulent activity, or that have been inactive for more than three years following a reasonable notice period.

Purchases

What you get

Each guide is a one-time purchase. There are no subscriptions. Your purchase unlocks all guide content for that city on the site, plus a personalized PDF delivered to your email. The PDF is yours to keep forever, even if the site is no longer available. On the site, your unlocked content is linked to your account and accessible on any device where you sign in.

Payment and tax

Payments are processed by Lemon Squeezy, who acts as Merchant of Record for all sales. This means Lemon Squeezy is the seller of record, handles all payment processing, and is responsible for collecting and remitting applicable taxes (including VAT and sales tax) based on your location. Your payment details are provided directly to Lemon Squeezy and are never seen by FamiVentura.

Refund policy

Because guides are digital products that are accessible immediately upon purchase, all sales are final and non-refundable. If you experience a technical problem that prevents you from accessing a purchased guide, please contact us and we will resolve it. Refund requests based on personal preference or a change of travel plans will not be accepted. If you believe we have made an error in processing your order, contact us within 14 days.

Pricing

Prices are displayed in USD and may vary by destination. We reserve the right to change prices at any time, but the price you pay at checkout is the price for that purchase. Your existing purchases and access are never affected by price changes. Bundle pricing (multi-city packs or regional collections) is calculated at checkout.

Age-group personalization

Guides are personalized to your children's age groups at the time of purchase (for example, toddlers and kids, or teens). You can freely adjust ages within the same group. Switching to a different age group requires a one-time $1 upgrade fee, which regenerates your PDF with updated recommendations.

Service availability

While we aim to keep famiventura.com running long-term, we cannot guarantee the site will be available indefinitely. If we ever need to shut down the service, we will provide at least 90 days' notice and ensure all customers can download their PDFs before closure. Your downloaded PDFs are yours forever regardless of whether the site continues to operate.

Intellectual property

All content on FamiVentura, including guide text, descriptions, itineraries, neighbourhood overviews, and survival guide tips, is original and owned by FamiVentura. We do not use content from other travel publishers. We do not accept sponsored content or affiliate arrangements, so our recommendations are independent.

When you purchase a guide, you receive a personal, non-exclusive license to read and use that guide for your own travel planning. You may not:

  • Reproduce, redistribute, or republish guide content in any format
  • Scrape or systematically copy content from the site
  • Resell or sublicense access to any guide
  • Use guide content to train machine learning models

Personalized PDFs generated from your purchased guides are for your personal use. You may share a PDF privately with immediate family members traveling with you, but not publicly or commercially.

Acceptable use

You agree to use FamiVentura only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these terms. You agree not to:

  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the service or its infrastructure
  • Use automated tools to scrape, crawl, or mirror the site
  • Interfere with the security or operation of the service
  • Misrepresent your identity or impersonate another person
  • Use the service in any way that violates applicable law

Disclaimer of warranties

FamiVentura is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranty of any kind, express or implied. We make reasonable efforts to keep our guides accurate and the site operational, but we cannot guarantee that the service will always be available, uninterrupted, or error-free. Travel information is inherently time-sensitive and subject to change outside our control.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, FamiVentura and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of (or inability to use) the service. This includes, without limitation, damages arising from:

  • Reliance on guide content that has since changed (closing times, prices, availability)
  • Travel decisions made on the basis of our recommendations
  • Technical issues affecting access to purchased guides

Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these terms or your use of the service is limited to the amount you paid to FamiVentura in the 12 months preceding the claim.

Governing law

These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law. Any disputes will be resolved through good-faith negotiation in the first instance. If you are a consumer in the European Union or United Kingdom, nothing in these terms affects your statutory consumer rights.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. For material changes, we will notify you by email or by a notice on the site. Continued use of the service after updated terms are posted constitutes your acceptance of the changes.
