Privacy Policy

FamiVentura (“we”, “us”, or “our”) operates famiventura.com, a family travel guide platform. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights around it. We’ve written it to be readable, not just legally defensible.
What we collect
Account information (when you sign in)
We use Google OAuth for sign-in. When you authenticate with Google, we receive and store:
- Your name
- Your email address
- Your Google profile photo URL
We do not receive your Google password or any other Google account data.
Kids’ age selection (cookie)
When you select your children’s ages on the site, we store that choice in a browser cookie named fv-ages. This cookie stays on your device and is used only to personalize the content you see. It contains age group labels (for example, “kids” or “teens”) but never names, birthdates, or any identifying information about your children.
Purchase history
When you purchase a guide, we record which guides your account has unlocked, the age group selected at purchase, and the language. This allows us to restore access across devices and generate your personalized PDF. Payment processing is handled entirely by Lemon Squeezy (see Third Parties below). We never see or store your card number or billing details.
PDF guides
Generated PDFs are stored securely and contain your name and email as a personalization watermark. Your PDFs are retained indefinitely. If you delete your account, you may download your PDFs first. After account deletion, PDFs are removed from our servers within 30 days.
Usage data
Like most websites, our hosting provider (Vercel) and CDN (Cloudflare) automatically log standard request data such as IP addresses, browser type, and pages visited. This data is used for security and performance monitoring. We do not currently run any analytics platform beyond what these infrastructure providers collect by default.
How we use your data
- PersonalizationYour age selection tailors guide content to your family’s needs across the site.
- PDF deliveryWhen you request a personalized PDF guide, we use your email address to send it via our email provider (Resend).
- Purchase accessWe link your purchases to your account so you can access unlocked guides on any device.
- Account managementYour name and photo are displayed in your account area so you can confirm you’re signed in to the right account.
- Service operationInfrastructure providers use request logs for security, uptime, and performance.
We do not sell your data. We do not use your data for advertising profiling. We do not send marketing emails unless you explicitly opt in.
Third-party services
Running a web service requires working with other companies. Here is every third party that may process data related to your use of FamiVentura:
Sign-in authentication. Google receives the fact that you authenticated with FamiVentura.
Payment processing and VAT/tax compliance. As Merchant of Record, Lemon Squeezy handles all payment data and tax obligations. We receive a webhook confirming your purchase.
Website hosting. Your requests to famiventura.com are served from Vercel infrastructure.
Database hosting. Your account and purchase data is stored in a Neon PostgreSQL database.
Transactional email. Used to deliver personalized PDF guides to your email address.
DNS and CDN. Cloudflare sits in front of our hosting and handles DNS resolution and CDN delivery.
Advertising. We plan to introduce optional display advertising behind a feature flag. When enabled, Google AdSense will serve ads and may set its own cookies. This policy will be updated before any ads go live.
Cookies
We use a small number of cookies, all functional. We do not use tracking cookies or advertising cookies from FamiVentura itself.

Third-party services listed above may set their own cookies subject to their own policies. You can clear or block cookies via your browser settings at any time.
Data retention
We keep your account data for as long as your account exists. If you ask us to delete your account, we will remove your name, email, and profile photo within 30 days. Purchase records may be retained for a further period as required for tax and accounting purposes. Infrastructure access logs are retained according to Vercel’s and Cloudflare’s own retention policies.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights including:
- Access to the data we hold about you
- Correction of inaccurate data
- Deletion of your account and personal data
- Objection to or restriction of certain processing
- Data portability (a copy of your data in a structured format)

Children’s privacy
FamiVentura is designed for parents and adults planning family trips, not for children to use directly. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. The age selection feature on our site asks parents to choose age groups for their children; no names, birthdates, or identifying information about children is ever requested or stored. If you believe a child has created an account on our platform, please contact us at privacy@famiventura.com and we will delete it promptly.
Changes to this policy
If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page. For significant changes, we will send a notice to your registered email address. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
